The Jubilee Hills by-election has once again shaken up Telangana politics. The BRS, Congress, and BJP are all in the fray with their own strategies — yet, the sentiment on the ground among voters is painfully clear:
“Whoever we vote for, nothing really changes!”

KCR’s Counterattack: “Defeat the Deceptive Congress”
Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has reignited fire within his party ranks with fierce remarks:
“The deceitful Congress must be defeated. Revanth’s rule has bankrupted Telangana!”
His words have certainly energized the BRS cadre —but the public is asking sharper questions:
“Did we live in paradise during BRS’s ten-year rule?”
During BRS governance, promises were many —double-bedroom houses, unemployment benefits, and farmer loan waivers.Yet, how many were truly fulfilled? And how did Telangana’s public debt balloon to ₹6 lakh crores? Now, those very questions are being turned toward KCR himself.
Revanth Reddy’s Governance: Change or Just Another Illusion?
Just as KCR is attacking, the current Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is also facing growing criticism.
In nearly two years of governance, his much-touted “New Telangana” promise is yet to take visible shape.
Yes, he did expose several BRS-era scams — but has corruption really declined?
Observers note that the same old political habits seem to have returned under new names and new faces.
Bulldozing poor families’ homes, rising real-estate nexus, and new tender controversies —these stories are not new; only the storytellers have changed.
Voters now seem to be asking one harsh question:
“Who is the lesser deceiver — the old rulers or the new ones?”
BJP: Loud in Speech, Silent in Action
Meanwhile, the BJP continues to shout against “the corruption of both Congress and BRS,”but has no clear roadmap of its own.
“BJP leaders criticize KCR and Revanth daily,
but rarely step forward on real people’s issues,”
political analysts observe.
The BJP still retains a vote bank in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, yet the absence of strong leadership and internal unity has prevented it from winning public trust.
Bulldozers Over the Poor: A Never-Ending Story
KCR accuses the Congress government of “demolishing homes of the poor,” while Revanth’s team insists they are “removing illegal structures.”
But when huts of poor families collapse — whose law protects them?
Under the Hydra Project and GHMC demolitions in Jubilee Hills, hundreds of families have lost shelter. For common citizens, governments may change, but the pain remains the same.
Homes were razed during BRS rule, and now again under Congress rule — all parties seem to play politics on the lives of the poor.
The Real Estate Reality
KCR’s statement that “real estate has collapsed” is only half true. In fact, jubilee hills ,Hyderabad’s property market is booming — but only for big developers and investors.
Middle-class and lower-income families continue to suffer under the crushing weight of EMI debts and rising rents.
While the government auctions off prime lands, citizens are asking —
“Is that money really reaching the poor?”
That question echoes in every corner of Telangana today.
People’s Silence, Politicians’ Noise
In Jubilee Hills, campaign speeches are getting louder by the day. BRS’s Maganti Sunitha, Congress’s Naveen Yadav, and BJP’s Deepak Reddy are in the race — but the people’s faces reflect disappointment, not excitement.
“It doesn’t matter who wins,
our lives never change,”
lament several voters.
That statement captures the true mood of Telangana politics.
Journalistic Analysis: The Truth Beyond Party Lines
BRS boasts of development, but its image is tainted by corruption and dynastic politics.
Congress promised change, but continues the same old governance in new packaging.
BJP is strong in rhetoric but weak in results.
The public now yearns for a new alternative — a leader who speaks truth and governance rooted in integrity.
The Need for a New Direction
KCR says, “We must protect the pride of the people.”
Revanth promises, “We will rebuild Telangana.”
BJP claims, “We are the alternative.”
But the dignity of the people cannot be protected by words. It must be earned through accountability, empathy, and real governance.
Editorial Viewpoint:
Telangana’s people must now stop being deceived by emotional promises. For over a decade, BRS, Congress, and BJP have all prioritized political gain over public welfare.
This by-election is not just another test of party arithmetic — it is a test of public awareness and moral accountability.
If people vote with memory and reason — perhaps Telangana can begin to write a new chapter beyond the politics of power and profit.
