Hyderabad: The Congress Party appears to be in the lead in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, according to the LokPoll Mega Bypoll Survey. Based on responses from 3,100 voters, the survey indicates that Congress is likely to secure 44% of the votes, followed by BRS (38%), BJP (15%), and other parties (3%).
Congress Holds a Clear Advantage
Welfare schemes, development works, and the credibility of the young BC community candidate have strengthened Congress’s position. The party’s local candidate, who has close ties with the people, is reportedly earning public trust by assuring them of direct accessibility to address local issues, the survey stated.
Impact of Minority Voters
The support of AIMIM and the disqualification of HYC leader Salman’s nomination have provided Congress an additional boost in Muslim-dominated areas. Analysts noted that candidate Naveen Yadav’s rapport with community leaders has created a positive atmosphere among minority voters.
BRS Losing Ground
Although BRS continues its campaign under the leadership of K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the party seems unable to retain its earlier strength. Local dissatisfaction and years of perceived neglect have had an adverse impact. The survey points out that the BRS may have to rely on sympathy votes this time.
BJP’s Limited Influence
While the BJP is focusing on consolidating Hindu votes, it has not made any significant breakthrough, according to the survey. Analysts say the party’s low-key campaign makes it difficult to emerge as a serious contender in this by-election.
Summary
Based on the opinions of 3,100 voters, the LokPoll survey concludes that Congress currently enjoys a clear edge in the Jubilee Hills bypoll. Both BRS and BJP are reportedly struggling to retain their respective vote bases.
However… Who Will Ultimately Win?
Various survey agencies have released differing projections for the Jubilee Hills constituency. While some show Congress in the lead, others suggest a closer contest with BRS and BJP. Despite the variations, the final verdict will become clear soon, once the people’s mandate is revealed.
