The Telangana government has taken a key decision. MLA K. Prem Sagar Rao has been appointed as the Chairman of the Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, according to official orders issued by the government.
As per G.O. Rt. No. 1503, dated 31-10-2025, issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Prem Sagar Rao has been accorded Cabinet Minister status. The orders directed the Civil Supplies, Food & Consumer Affairs Department to take necessary follow-up action.
With this appointment, Prem Sagar Rao will assume major responsibilities in overseeing crucial operations such as paddy procurement, public distribution system, and civil supplies management across the state.
According to government sources, this move aims to bring greater transparency and efficiency in the functioning of the Civil Supplies sector. The new chairman is expected to focus on timely payments to farmers, improvements in the ration distribution system, and administrative reforms within the corporation.
Following the announcement, supporters and party workers of Prem Sagar Rao celebrated his appointment with enthusiasm.
