Exam Overview:
The UGC NET 2025 Exam will be conducted online (Computer-Based Test – CBT) across more than 200 cities in India, covering 83 subjects. The exam is designed to assess candidates’ teaching aptitude, subject knowledge, and research capability .

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (for General category).

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD categories are given a 5% relaxation (50% marks).

Final-year postgraduates are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Candidates who completed their Ph.D. before 1991 are also eligible for a 5% relaxation.

For JRF: Maximum 30 years (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women).
