Just days after the horrific Kurnool RTC bus accident in which 19 passengers were burnt alive, yet another shocking tragedy has struck Telangana state . Early this morning near Mirzaguda in Chevella mandal of Ranga Reddy district — an RTC bus travelling from Tandur towards Hyderabad with nearly 70 passengers onboard — collided head-on with a gravel-loaded tipper. According to initial reports, around 20 passengers died on the spot. The incident has triggered shock and grief across the state.

The Prime Minister Modi, The Chief Minister of Telangna , top national and state level political leaders have expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. Leaders have requested the Telangana Government to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured passengers.

Highway Work Delays Under Scanner
Some political leaders have pointed out that this road was supposed to be developed as a National Highway way back in 2015-16. Due to some legal issues, administrative hurdles and negligence, the works were halted, leading to repeated accidents along this stretch. Road safety experts have also expressed concern over the delay.
Government Response – Control Room Setup
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is personally monitoring the situation. He directed officials to supervise rescue operations on-ground and instructed the Health Department to provide quality treatment to the injured.
